Abstract

ABSTRACT

Stroke is the second highest cause of death in the world. The purpose of the case study is to apply ball handheld therapy to overcome impaired physical mobility in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. Case study method on non-hemorrhagic stroke patients at Muhammadiyah Darul Istiqomah Hospital as many as two patient respondents with the criteria of patients experiencing muscle weakness in the hands. The instruments used in the case study used muscle strength value scales, observation sheets and standard operating procedures for holding the ball. The results of a case study in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with inclusion criteria with hand muscle weakness were carried out for four days once a day by grasping on hands that experienced weakness up to fifteen times the grip of the ball. Respondents one and two showed that there was an increase in muscle tone after doing handheld ball therapy for four days, as evidenced by the assessment of the muscle strength scale of respondent I before doing hand-held ball muscle strength therapy on the first day two on the third day and fourth muscle strength three. Second responders before doing hand-held therapy ball muscle strength on the first day two and on day two muscle strength three and on day three four muscle strength four. It can be concluded that there is an increase in muscle before and after the intervention of Handheld Bola on the muscle strength of non-hemorrhagic stroke patients.
